Vulnerability. Is Yours Real?

maze

I want us to talk about Vulnerability.

How much is too much? How much is enough?

With the rise in “truth telling” in public, and on social media in general, it’s hard to know where to draw the boundaries.

(I wonder if the truth telling is a backlash to the ‘fake news’ trend? Or just another ploy to get exposure and SEO? or is it an awareness that we are all fragile beings who are doing our best?)

As I was interviewing my clients and colleagues for my upcoming book, The Golden Thread, about how they found their Purpose, my intent was for them to tell their stories in a way that helped to deconstruct how their Purpose has been present during their entire life span, but they couldn’t see it.

And many of their stories, and my own life story, looks like we are all making wrong turns, going down dark alleys or at the very least a maze, along with the many stunning examples of how synchronicity shows up and can make you feel like magic is happening.

I found it fascinating as I was doing these interviews that we could pull out the Golden Thread in everyone’s life, and see how our Purpose weaves together the miraculous nature of how our Soul pulls us along, purposefully, aligned more and less, into our destiny.

The punch line is that the more we allow our mistakes to guides us, the more easily and quickly we get “back on track”.

I’m a wholehearted YES for the new trend to be vulnerable and real in public. As long as it’s a sincere desire to claim responsibility for your life’s direction and align more intentionally with who you really are. Not some new version of ‘fake news.’
